Most frequent questions and answers

The leather we use is high-quality buffalo hide vegetable to give it a supple and sturdy feel. We use no chemicals and no artificial colouring. The skin has only been treated with waxes to give that vintage look and make the hide soft and delicate but extremely strong. We use no artificial coating of the hide because we want to preserve the ‘true leather experience’.

The FuhrHide Collection manufactures in India. We have a strict policy against child labour and are SEDEX compliant. Or designs are made directly from the factory, which saves expensive intermediaries. But it also means that we have direct contact and thus controls the process. Everything is made with respect for both the environment and people.

We rarely offer sales on our products, for two reasons. Firstly, working directly from our factory and selling directly to you, we are already offering a high-quality product at a very affordable price. Secondly, all FuhrHide designs are classic designs that will not go out of style. However, never say never so if you sign up for our newsletter, you will be the first to know.

In terms of leather care, we recommend applying a natural leather balm every 4-6 months. We use natural leather therefore with time the leather will begin to age nicely, regular use of leather balm will contribute to a rich, supple appearance. For a more durable protection of the leather we would recommend a protective spray. This is particularly effective for the lighter colours more prone to water marks.

You will receive a notification my mail once the order has left our warehouse – containing a trace number provided by the courier

Please take note of what courier is sending your order. If your parcel takes longer to arrive than expected or the tracking number shows a delay in delivery it would be useful to call the specific courier and state your tracking number. Often parcels are kept at your local depots if the courier was unable to deliver to you for some reason.

If the product has not yet been shipped it is possible to change the address details. Please note that entering the incorrect address might lead to delays or order not being delivered. We do not take responsibility for products lost due to incorrect address details but will help to locate it. In most cases, the shipment will be returned to us.

Once you’ve placed your order, you will see a confirmation message, which will contain your order details. This information will also be emailed to you, but it could take up to 30 minutes to arrive. You will receive a second email to let you know that your order has been shipped.

As long as it has not yet shipped, you can still cancel your order and we will provide you with a refund—just email us at Info@fuhrhide.com or give us a call at +45 22 59 95 41. Please note that orders that have already been shipped, we would need to go through the returns process.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Dankort, PayPal and ApplePay as payment.

Please note extra shipping charges will be added in the shopping cart for deliveries outside Europe.

Covid-19 information

All of our designs are stored in the Fuhrhide warehouse –  Aarhus, Denmark

According to the WHO it is completely safe to receive commercial goods. The likelihood of a design being contaminated by an infected person is very low. The FuhrHide package will have been packed, moved, travelled and exposed to different temperatures and conditions = making the risk of contamination even lower. 

In the FuhrHide warehouse we have taken extra health and safety precautions to make sure our small team of staff are always wearing gloves and are not coming into close contact with one another or the stored goods.

Our operations are running normally, meaning we are experiencing no delays in packing and dispatching orders. 

Our couriers worldwide might need an extra day or two, as they like we are taking precautions to ensure all shipment will follow the WHO guidelines.
